CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - After years of living peacefully in a southwest Cleveland neighborhood, this young mom is regrettably re-thinking her options.

It appears this was a life-altering moment.

"I don't know.  I'm really hurt and just bringing this stuff up it's terrible," said mother, Andrea James.

James came home early this morning and there it was spray painted on the side of her house -racial and vulgar graffiti.

"The first thing that went through my mind - I was angry and upset," said James. @

For eight years Andrea James and her little girls have lived in the southwest Cleveland neighborhood.  For seven of those years she had no problem, but things changed about a year ago.

James said last week her girls, eleven and nine years old, were called the "n" word right in front of their own home.

"My girls they had never really heard the word used that way didn't understand it until I explained it to them," said James.

Andrea James filed a police report.   She's hoping someone in the neighborhood saw something or someone.

For now, she's scared.

"I don't plan on staying here its not going to be safe I don't feel safe I don't know what's going to happen , my girls are outside i'm in the house they walk to the store I don't feel safe here anymore," said James.

Along with the anger and fear is disappointment.

"Where do people still do this at.  I didn't know that they still did that.

Andrea James told me she was grateful, her girls were not with her and have not seen the graffiti.  She'll try and get it cleaned up before they see it.

No reason to spread the hate any further.
