STOW, OH (WOIO) - Two Stow police cruisers were hit by a stolen dump truck from the City of Stow Saturday afternoon on Graham Road near Fishcreek Road.

After the collision with the Stow cruisers, the male driver of the dump truck fled the scene and headed south down I-77.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol's New Philadelphia Post, the driver traveled through Stark County and into Tuscarawas County while being pursued by Stow, Akron and Canton Police along with Ohio State Highway Patrols from Stark County and New Philadelphia Posts.

New Philadelphia Highway Patrol officers were able to finally stop the dump truck by laying out spike strips in various locations along I-77 and near exit ramps.

The driver exited at the Strasburg exit and rolled the truck on Columbia Road.

The driver was uninjured in the crash.

No word on the injuries to the Stow Police officers who were struck earlier.
