Funeral arrangements announced for worker killed in college campus industrial accident

HIGHLAND HILLS, OH (WOIO) - Funeral services will be held today for a man killed in an industrial accident on Tri-C's East Campus Monday morning.

The coroner has ruled 45-year-old Craig Mackovjak death accidental and the cause is blunt impact to the head.

The Broadview Heights man was working in a lift bucket when he became wedged between the bucket and a beam. He sustained massive head injuries.

Emergency crews rushed Mackovjak to South Pointe Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

19 Action News has learned that Mackovjak was a former Broadview Heights Councilman and was a current member of the city's Planning Commission. He is the husband of Parma Municipal Court Judge Deana O'Donnell. He and his wife have four children.

Funeral mass will be Saturday, January 22nd at 12:30PM at St. Bridget's Church on Hauserman Road.
