Full Force: Thousands of public workers expected to sign Senate Bill 5 petition

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

More than 1,000 public employees are expected to be among the first to sign a petition to place SB 5 on the ballot in November.

Firefighters, nurses, teachers, clergy, students, and other citizens who oppose the unfair attack on working families will sign the petition and sign up to be petition circulators.

The petition signing takes place Saturday, April 23rd at 2 p.m. at the Harvard Community Services Center locates at 18240 Harvard Avenue in Cleveland.

Elected officials are also invited to sign the petition and stand with We Are Ohio.

Nine events are scheduled across Ohio kick off Citizen's Veto petition effort.

More than 231,000 signatures are needed to place the measure on a referendum ballot in November.

Deadline to submit signatures: June 30, 2011.
