Geauga County Standoff Ends Peacefully

Geauga County, OH - Police have arrested Huntsburg Township resident Robert Zalar after an 8-hour standoff early Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities were called out to a home at 15344 Stillwell  Monday evening when a neighbor reported being shot with shot gun pellets by another neighbor.

The neighbors were arguing when Zalar pulled out the shot gun and fired at the other neighbor.

Police arrived on scene and Zalar barricaded himself off inside a home and eventually surrendered around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

There were no serious injuries reported.

Zalar has been charged with felonious assault for shooting at his neighbor.
