CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cuyahoga County will swear in their new top cop Monday.

Bob Reid, 57-years-old, was sworn in privately Saturday, May 2nd but will hold a public ceremony Monday, May 11th.

The position became available after Gerald McFaul resigned following several sudden investigations and health problems.

Warrensville Heights Police Chief Frank Bova served as Interim Sheriff for about six weeks while the County looked for candidates.

Reid was a Bedford Police Officer in 1997 and Bedford's Police Chief in 1989. Reid retired in 2000 to take over as Bedford City Manager.
