1st to Fall: Cuyahoga County Corruption Key Players Have Their Day In Court

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - J. Kevin Kelley pled guilty to all charges including tax evasion, bribery and more in a US District court Wednesday.

Wednesday was arraignment day in Federal Court for two men indicted in the Cuyahoga County corruption probe.

J. Kevin Kelley and Kevin Payne were both be arraigned before federal Judge Kathleen O'Malley.

Payne was Kelley's boss at the Cuyahoga County Engineer's Department.

Kelley plead guilty to conspiracy, mail fraud, tax evasion and bribery charges and could face up to 14-years in prison.

Kelley must pay $527,000 in restitution to Cuyahoga County, $87,000 to Parma schools and $40,000 to the IRS.

Payne is also facing corruption and bribery charges.

A former co-worker in the County Engineer's Office, Daniel Gallagher, along with former Bedford Municipal Court Deputy Baliff Brian Schuman will be arraigned on Thursday, July 2nd.
