Ok, so a few middle school kids turned a dance at St. John's High School into a news story. Things got so out of control that police had to use pepper spray.
As far as I'm concerned, the police did the right thing. They stepped into a deteriorating situation and stopped it before someone really got hurt. It appears they singled out the obvious troublemakers and dealt with them. That's their job.
For the record, it's the parents job to raise kids who respect others and to teach them to behave properly in social situations. Too bad, it's going to take a lot more than pepper spray to fix that problem.
