CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A federal grand jury indicted Steven A. Tomasone, age 53, of Independence, Ohio, in connection with the Cuyahoga County public corruption investigation.

Tomasone was owner and president of Southwest Companies, Inc., a painting, roofing, waterproofing and paving contractor located in Independence.

The indictment charges Tomasone gave cash and other gifts in exchange for business at Maple Heights City Schools, business valued at $250,000.

The indictment goes on to say Christopher Krause, treasurer of MHCS and Santina Klimkowski, a member of the School Board helped in the scheme.
