GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

An 8-year-old boy with a life-threatening disease is going to the County Music Awards thanks to the Make a Wish Foundation.

Charlie Glazer suffers from Duchene Muscular Dystrophy, or DMD.

DMD is a fatal disease that weakens the body's muscles, and carries a life expectancy rare beyond age 30.

Charlie is currently a 3rd grade student at William Foster Elementary.

Charlie will spend five days in Las Vegas to attend the 46th Academy of Country Music Awards with his parents, Charles and Tara.

The Make a Wish Foundation has set up for Charlie and his parents to attend a rehearsal and the Awards with country music stars.
