We've learned of new information surrounding a deadly police shooting by a Cleveland cop working off-duty.
Officer Walt Thomas will have a hearing with the chief Thursday. Thomas will be questioned about working off-duty without permission.
Last week he was working part-time at Libations night club. He confronted two men shooting at each other before he shot and killed Aron Jones. A preliminary review of the actual shooting shows 'that' was justifed.
However Thomas, A 21-year veteran, has been on extended leave from the force.

Appointed to Division of Police in June 19, 1990

2002 assigned to Narcotics Unit involved in a Use of Deadly Force incident ruled justified by the Prosecutor's Office

Resigned from the Division of Police on June 6, 2004
- Returned to the Division of Police on October 9, 2006, and assigned to District 4
- The officer involved is currently assigned to the Medical Unit on Extended Illness
