Live or Die?: Jurors in the Cleveland Strangler Trial call it a night

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Jurors in the Cleveland Strangler trial have decided not to pull an all-nighter.

The jury got the case just before 4 PM Tuesday and received instructions from the bailiff shortly after that they can "deliberate as long as they want."

After meeting for about three hours, they finished for the evening.

Anthony Sowell was convicted of murdering eleven women and burying their bodies in and around his Imperial Avenue home last month.

The same jury that convicted him is now deciding whether Sowell serves life in prison, or is put to death.

The jurors, who are sequestered until they reach a decision, will back at it first thing in the morning.

On Monday, in a last ditch effort to save his life, Anthony Sowell took the stand and apologized for his actions.
