Bill Applegate's Editorial Feedback

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Well, every time we air one of our editorials we ask you, the audience, to write and let us know what you think.  And you do.

I recently talked about the Democratic and Republican debate about raising the debt ceiling.

Patrick from Brunswick wrote to say, "if the U.S. defaults on its debt, it's because elected officials don't heed the constraint of budgets or even laws."  And Mel from Euclid wrote to say, "reducing the deficit is not reducing the debt. It's reducing the amount of money the nation borrows only to go further into debt". Well, Ray from Cleveland wrote, "you are right, Bill.  politicians are only concerned about getting re-elected than doing the right thing."

And, we got lots of responses about the hassle over Bill Doraty's balloons in Medina Township.  Ed from Medina wrote and said, "I am in support of his right to display the inflatables.  The city should find something else to worry about."  And Steve from Medina also wrote, "are you kidding me?  these ego-driven officials should be concerned about supporting local businesses.  Too bad so much money is being spent over this."  Well, I agree Steve.

Well, thanks again for sharing all your opinions with us.  And as always, write and let us know what you think.  I'm Bill Applegate and here's the address.
