ASHLEY JOHNCOLA

Ashley Johncola joins WOIO to bring you up to the minute traffic reports every weekday throughout your morning and afternoon commutes. Ashley is thrilled to call Cleveland her new home, and to help you get where you need to be.

Ashley comes to 19 Action News from WUPW in Toledo, where she spent two years working both in front of and behind the camera. She got her start as "The Face of FOX Toledo," appearing live on air, in commercials, and on the scene at community events.  She then found her place in the news department, anchoring morning cut-ins and reporting on everything from human interest to local crime.

Ashley graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Politics from NYU. In her four years in New York, she interned at Fox News Channel's morning show ‘Fox and Friends' and at MTV. She also had the opportunity interview celebrities, including actor/screenwriter Paul Rudd, for segments aired during NYU's live weekly newscast, ‘NYU Tonight.'

Ashley is originally from the Philadelphia area and is no stranger to cold winters and hot summers. She loves to travel and experience new places. When she isn't reporting or traveling, Ashley also enjoys cooking (especially Italian), and taking walks with her puppy Myla.
