NOBLE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -
The 16-year-old Summit County teen accused in the Craigslist murder plot was back in court Thursday.
The judge ruled Brogan Rafferty will be tried as an adult. Juvenile Court could of only held Rafferty until he turned 21 if the case was heard there, and he was judged delinquent by reason of aggravated murder.
Rafferty and 52-year-old Richard Beasley are accused of luring men to a farm in Noble County through a Craigslist ad that promised work.
Two men were killed and buried in shallow graves. A third man was shot, but managed to escape. The body of a fourth victim, 47-year-old Timothy Kern, found in a shallow grave in Akron behind Rolling Acres Mall.
Beasley was the Rafferty's mentor and police believe co-conspirator in robbery and murder.
Right now, Beasley remains locked up in the Summit County Jail on drug and prostitution charges. Prosecutors say Rafferty will enter a plea in adult court shortly and has agreed to give information to investigators about Beasley's role in the murder plot.
