TRAVEL ALERT: Closures announced as work continues on Innerbelt Bridge

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Overnight tonight, Thursday, February 9, crews will close the Ontario Street entrance ramp to I-90 west from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday morning.  Motorists may detour via Ontario Street south to I-77 south, to I-490 west to I-90 west.  Motorists heading for Tremont or Ohio City should use the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge.  The E 9th Street ramp to I-90 west will remain open.

In Tremont, Fairfield Avenue will be restricted to one lane westbound each weekday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Friday, February 10, for approximately the next two weeks.  Kenilworth Avenue will reopen to traffic by 7 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, February 10, but will have active work immediately adjacent to the traffic lanes. It is recommended that motorists proceed cautiously when using Kenilworth. Pedestrians should continue to use Starkweather.

    Sentencing is set for this afternoon for Zachary Brody. The 27-year-old Bowling Green man has already pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence in the death of Phil Masterson.
    Zachary Brody has been sentenced to 16 years behind bars.

    The 27-year-old Bowling Green man received the maximum sentence for killing Phil Masterson of Westlake.
