Cleveland (WOIO) - The Indians traded pitcher Kelvin De La Cruz to the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash considerations.  The lefty was designated for assignment on February 14 after the signing of 1B Casey Kotchman earlier this month. 

De La Cruz spent the 2011 season with the Double-A Akron Aeros where he went 5-6 with a 4.19 ERA in 23 games that included 16 starts.
