Pedestrian killed, another injured after being struck by car

HARTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -

An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was fatally struck Tuesday night in Hartsgrove Township.

The accident happened shortly after 8:30PM on State Route 534.

Kenneth T. Breedlove was driving his Chevy Cavalier northbound on SR 534 when he struck two pedestrians walking northbound in the northbound lane.

33-year-old Terry Austin, Jr. was pronounced dead on the scene by the Ashtabula County Coroner. 29-year-old Michael Austin was rushed to Geauga Hospital with serious injuries.

Breedlove was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
