GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

Around 12:35 p.m. Friday afternoon, a student reported to Garfield Heights Middle School Principal Christopher Hanke that another student had a BB gun in the building.

Principal Hanke immediately placed the school on lockdown, as a precautionary measure, and notified the police department.

About an hour later, once the building was secure, the students were dismissed.

No one was injured but according to a teacher, the students with the toy guns were arrested.
