CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The first Cleveland Firefighter sent to jail in the pay scandal will be getting out after serving less than half of his sentence.

Judge Nancy Russo today ordered Timothy Debarr released.

He had made an appeal to get out early saying he felt he'd been punished and embarrassed.

The judge agreed finding out that Cleveland City Hall did not ask for any money to be paid back. And the city recently revealed that one of its lawyers knew about questionable practices in the fire department and did nothing.
