CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

New fallout from the Cleveland firefighter pay scandal.

Cleveland Councilman Kevin Conwell introduced a new law putting restrictions on where all city employees and departmental directors can live Monday night during the council meeting.

This comes in response to a story 19 Action News exposed last fall. Cleveland firefighters living in Pennsylvania, Kentucky and California.

Under the proposed law, all city employees would have to live in Ohio and any directors would have to live in five counties that are adjacent to Cuyahoga County.

Under the new law, workers or directors living outside of those areas could be fired.
