$3M bond for grandson accused of murdering grandparents

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The Parma man accused in the brutal beating death of his grandparents went before a judge on Thursday morning. 

29-year-old Anthony King pleaded not guilty to one count of Aggravated Murder. His bond was set at $3M. 

King is accused in the double murder of his grandparents, 75-year-old James Riley King and 72-year-old Wava King.

The bodies James and Wava were found Monday morning in the 3300 block of Virginia Avenue just before 9 a.m. Both suffered from head injuries.

According to police, the couple's daughter discovered her mother on the couch bleeding for the head, and immediately called police. Once on scene, officers found the body of James in the basement. EMS pronounced both dead on the scene.

The couple's 2004 gray Buick Lesabre' with a license plate of DUL 1356 was found Monday evening around 8:30 p.m. Parma Police located the vehicle in the 6000 block of State Road in Parma and detained the driver of the vehicle, Anthony.

There is no word on a motive at this time.
