The sole survivor of a family tragedy has taken a turn towards the worst as her killer dad's funeral services are announced.
Thursday, Kayla Allen, 10, was downgraded from fair to critical condition at MetroHealth Medical Center
Earlier this month, her father, Kevin Allen shot Kayla and killed her mother Catherina and younger sister Kerri at a Cracker Barrel in Brooklyn, Ohio.
Police shot and killed Kevin Allen on scene.
Kevin Allen's obituary from the Kansas City Star spread like wildfire. He served 4 years in the Air Force and the obit says he would be buried in Kansas City on Saturday, April 28th with full military honors. Later, an Air Force spokesman said that wouldn't happen but offered no explanation.
Allen's oldest daughter from a previous marriage declined to comment on his burial in Kansas City, but acknowledged it's controversy.
A post script on Kevin Allen's obituary spoke of his loss saying he was preceded in death by his wife Kate and daughter Kerri. No mention that he murdered them.
