(5/13/2012) - Host, Harry Boomer talked with Lisa Wong and Johhny Wu about Greater Cleveland's Asian American communities and their growing economic and cultural
impact.
The discussion involved how long Asians have been a part of Greater Cleveland and about the culture they bring to the area.
The Greater Cleveland area has a growing Asian town (instead of Chinatown) in the Rockwell, Superior and Payne Ave areas of the near east side.
The guests also talked about stereotypes and
civil rights challenges they face as they continue to contribute to the cultural
richness of Cleveland.
Later this month, there is also going to be the Third Annual
Cleveland Asian Festival on East 27th and Payne on Saturday and Sunday May 19th
and 20th, 11am-7pm.
They expect 50-thousand people to attend.
