CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A Parma man has been indicted for murdering his grandparents.

Anthony J. King, 29, of Parma, was indicted Friday on eleven charges including four counts of aggravated murder, one count of aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping, one count of grand theft, and one count of tampering with evidence. King faces the death penalty.

On April 23, 2012, Anthony King beat his grandparents with a pipe wrench in their Virginia Avenue residence located in Cleveland. The body of Wava King, 72, was found by her daughter at approximately 9:30 am lying on the couch partially covered with a blanket and pillows. The daughter was unable to locate her father or their family vehicle which was parked in the driveway, and immediately called 911.

Cleveland Police and EMS responded to the scene and pronounced Wava King dead. The body of James King, 75, was located by law enforcement in the basement of the residence. Both deaths were ruled as multiple blunt force traumas to the head.

Later that same day, Parma Police located the stolen vehicle traveling southbound on State Road being operated by Anthony King. The vehicle was stopped and King was detained without incident.

Prosecutor Mason said, "It's sickening how little regard for human life he has. King's elderly grandparents suffered greatly, and he will be held accountable for his actions."

Arraignment for Anthony King has not been scheduled yet.
