MADISON TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -

Madison Police are investigating the murder of Eleanor Robertson, 77.

Robertson's body was discovered inside her Canterbury Drive home after a concerned neighbor called police.

Bob Arnold called Madison Township Police shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday concerned for the safety of his neighbor and believed her home had been burglarized. Officers arrived on scene and entered the ransacked home, unable to locate Robertson or her 1995 Plymouth Voyager.

A Silver Alert was sent out statewide for the missing woman and her vehicle.

A short time later, Euclid police made contact with Madison Township, and advised they had two people in custody from an earlier traffic stop. Euclid police recovered property in the vehicle connected to the burglary in Madison Township.

As the investigation continued, Robertson's body was found hidden inside her home.  "Something like this does not happen around here...she was a nice lady" says Arnold.

The suspects are mother and son - Dana and Zack Weimer. They were arraigned Thursday morning on murder charges, and pleaded not guilty. They are being held on a $1M bond.

Robertson's red 1995 Plymouth Voyager Ohio registration BV81VT has not yet been recovered. Anyone with information is urged to contact Madison Township Police at 440-428-2115.
