Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

It is estimated that there will are 1.3 million new cases of breast cancer this year alone. It is the most prevalent and widespread form of cancer striking people of all ages and races. It is likely that you will know someone in your lifetime that is affected by this life changing disease. That's why 19 Action News is a proud sponsor of  Susan G. Komen of Northeast Ohio, an organization that's playing a vital role in fighting breast cancer right here in our community.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure has touched so many lives, including 19 Action News Anchor Romona Robinson. Romona has served as Honorary Chair of the race for 14 years, being the face of a cause that has taken her into the personal journeys of breast cancer patients across Northeast Ohio.

"The Race for the Cure, reminds us all, of the power   of a shared community. When we embrace those in the struggle, remember those we've lost, and re-commit ourselves to winning the race. So lace up your shoes and join me."
