Police are investigating a stabbing in Akron.

It happened around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of Ira Avenue.

Two roommates, 51-year-old William Strutz and 26-year-old Jared Owens were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical when both roommates used knives to stab each other.

Stutz was stabbed multiple times in the back, neck and face. He was transported to Akron General Hospital where his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Owens had two minor lacerations on his face and neck and was treated on scene.

Owens was charged with Felonious Assault and booked into the Summit County Jail.
