A $4 million addition to Saint Joseph Academy was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. today.

The all-girls Catholic high school on Rocky River Drive in Cleveland has a new dining hall and outdoor learning spaces. The project started in March and doubled the cafeteria space at the school, originally built in 1928. The dining hall overlooks the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation.

Today's opening represents just the first half of the $7.8 million "Expanding Minds - Building Future - Raising Leaders" capital campaign. Upgrades to the electric and heating systems also are planned.
