BOWLING GREEN, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio will be holding on-site interviews on Monday, Sept. 10 and Tuesday, Sept. 11.
The company has seen more growth this year and is hoping to open more stores next year.
"The more we can expand, the more we can help people in northwest Ohio. We're in 13 counties right now, but we're looking to expand our footprint within those counties," said David Takats, Goodwill's director of marketing.
Goodwill is hiring for more than 25 management, entry level, and labor positions. The jobs will be in Toledo, Bowling Green, Findlay and Wauseon.
"Your dollars put people to work in northwest Ohio, generally, people with barriers to employment, such as physical or mental disabilities, but they could be all the way down to things like they've been out of the workplace for a while, or welfare dependency," said Takats.
The interviews will be held at the Hampton Inn located at 142 Campbell Hill Road in Bowling Green. They take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
"We're looking to recruit across northwest Ohio, not just one particular area. And we've tried it here before and it worked really well," said Sarah Semer, Goodwill's retail operations manager.
Semer says they had a constant flow of jobseekers with even a line to get inside Monday morning.
Jobseekers are encouraged to bring their resume, references, and a valid ID.
"We're looking for somebody who would be a good asset to Goodwill: flexible schedule, works well with others, interested in knowing about our mission, and working well with the public," said Semer.
