COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -
A suspect is on the run after robbing the Dollar General in Columbia Township.
It happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Dollar General on Plainville Road.
Police say a male entered the store and confronted one of the clerks with a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect demanded money from the safe. After taking an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled on Plainville Road.
No one was hurt.
K9 units were called to search for the suspect, but were unsuccessful.
The suspect is described as black male, late 20's to early 30's, 6'2" and 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black jacket, blue jeans and tan colored work boots with a black bandanna over his face.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
