Dawn Kendrick came to Cleveland in 2001 and has been telling stories that matter in Northeast Ohio ever since.
She came to WOIO from St. Louis, where she reported and anchored for the ABC affiliate there.
St. Louis is also where Dawn grew up.
In fact, her roots run deep in the Show Me State.
Dawn graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri, one of the best Journalism schools in the country.
In fact, when she got her degree, Dawn's dad is on record saying "Praise God. She's finally going to get PAID TO TALK"
The first stop out of school, in what has been nearly 20 years of broadcast news experience, was WLFI in Lafayette IN.
She was the 5pm weekday news anchor there.
Then it was back to Missouri to anchor the 6 and 11pm weekday newscasts for the ABC affiliate in Columbia.
Here, in Cleveland, Dawn is the medical reporter for 19 Action News and enterprises memorable stories on a daily basis that resonate with viewers.
She is thankful every single day for the opportunity to do what she loves in a city she is proud to call home.
