Health Dept. to administer skin tests in wake of TB scare at Elyria High

ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) -

Health officials from the Mercy TB Clinic will be at Elyria High School today to administer skin tests in wake of a tuberculosis scare.

This, after a person associated with Elyria High School was diagnosed with tuberculosis.

TB is contagious, but the risk is low.

School officials stress that the test is for precautionary purposes only, but strongly urge staffers and students to be tested. The test is free.
