Trial continues of south Toledo man accused of killing wife

TOLEDO, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - The trial of Charles Toyer continues Wednesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

The 21-year old has been charged for the stabbing death of his wife, 23-year-old Tiffany Wilborn. Toyer faces murder and involuntary manslaughter charges.

Testimony began Tuesday in the trial. Toyer faces life in prison if convicted.

The incident happened in the 1,500 block of Western. According to Toledo Police, the two began arguing around 11:30 p.m. on March 11 when it turned physical. They say Toyer then stabbed Wilborn. She was rushed to the hospital where she died.
