Electric chair displayed at Cleveland police museum

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

"Old Sparky," the Cleveland Police Historical Society's electric chair, will be on display through November.

The state's first electric chair, Old Sparky was used until 1963 and 315 people were executed in the chair - including three women.

The Cleveland Police Museum is on the first floor of the Justice Center, 1300 Ontario St., and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
