
The Indians exploded for 10 runs in the fifth inning and went on to blow out Kansas City 15-3. Asdrubal Cabrera capped off the big inning with a grand slam, the second of his career, his 16th homer of the season.
Cabrera, Jack Hannahan and Lou Marson all had three hits on the day. Matt LaPorta and Shin-Soo Choo each drove in two runs.
It was the Indians second 10-run inning against KC in as many seasons, they did it on May 16, 2011 in a 19-1 romp.
Zach McAllister got the win, pitching into the 7th inning allowing only three runs. The victory was his sixth of the year.
