Chemical fire at Cleveland manufacturing company

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A chemical fire on Cleveland's east side Wednesday afternoon.

It started just after 1 p.m. on Hamilton Avenue at East 39th at the KP McNamara Company.

The company makes giant plastic recycling containers, and apparently, some type of plastic caught fire on the conveyor belt.

Employees were evacuated from the building. No one was injured.

Firefighters were able to quickly contain the chemical fire.
