Man arrested in Tyler shooting that reportedly left victim paralyzed

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

An arrest has been made in the case of a Tyler man who's reportedly left paralyzed after suffering several gunshot wounds during an attempted home invasion.

On September 30, Tyler Police responded the 600 block of Augusta on Tyler's north side, in reference to shots fired.

Police located the victim, 22-year-old Dasha Webb. EMS transported Webb to ETMC, where he was immediately rushed into surgery. Officials say Webb is reportedly paralyzed due to the injuries he sustained in the incident.

Tyler Police say a man, no identified as 24-year-old Trent Durell Mumphrey, entered Webb's home and fired several shots.

The investigation led detectives to Mumphrey, who's now been arrested.

Mumphrey is charged with aggravated robbery. He's held in the Smith County Jail on $500,000 bond.
