4-year old boy dead in south Toledo house fire

TOLEDO, OH, (Toledo News Now) - Local authorities on the scene have confirmed that a 4-year-old boy has died in a house fire at 721 Vinton in south Toledo.

The fire broke out in the bedroom of an upstairs duplex just after 7:30p.m. Friday evening. When crews arrived at the scene they found the woman administering CPR to the two children.

The woman is the mother of the girl and the 4-year-old boy who died is her nephew.

Todd Autman is the father of the 2-year-old girl.

"The kids bedroom, they were in the kids bedroom playing with lighters, matches I couldn't tell. I got the phone call, they were trapped in the room on fire," said Autman.

One woman, a 2-year-old girl and the 4-year-old boy were taken to St. Vincent's Hospital.

Toledo fire officials are still investigating the cause of this fire.

There is no word on the condition of the other victims and their names have not been released.
