OREGON, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - The Toledo Refining Company has offered a $15,000 grant to pay for the addition of a K-9 officer in Oregon and its training.

The Oregon City Council's Safety Committee has been discussing the addition of a K-9 unit to detect drugs and body scents.

Oregon Police Chief Mike Navarre says the dog could also make money for the city by increasing drug forfeitures and seizures.
