Posted: Updated:

LINDSEY,  OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house Tuesday.

The ceremony will take place at the new Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Emergency Operations Facility (EOF).

The 12,000-square-foot facility will be used by staff for training exercises. Additionally, staff will coordinate with state and local emergency management agencies during the unlikely event of an emergency at the plant.

The facility is located at 1240 South Main Street in Lindsey, OH. It replaces an EOF located at the Davis-Besse site.
