57 Arrests: Kent annual Halloween bash gets out of control...Again

Posted: Updated:
KENT, OH (WOIO) -

What started out as being much more subdued, than in years past, had the same result by the end of the night.

According Kent State Police the college town's annual Halloween celebration ended with at least 57 arrests.  The official count will be released Monday.

The moods of partygoers were not dampened by the cold and wet weather or the stepped-up police presence.  Officials say the crowds were just as large as they were a year ago.

You may recall, cops made 21 arrests in 2011.  That's down from 2010 when they busted 53 people.

Most of this years arrests were due to fighting and out-of-control revelers.

Those charged are expected in court sometime this week.
