PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) - Former President Bill Clinton rallied in Perrysburg Thursday for President Obama's re-election bid.

Clinton addressed a crowd of mostly students in the Student Health and Activities Center at Owens Community College.

Clinton was one of the headliners of the Democratic National Convention in September. Many people say Clinton rallied the base and was the perfect choice to push President Obama's re-election.

"It will help a lot. He was well-loved by a lot of Democrats and it is going to help us get more votes out. We need to get everyone out to vote this weekend, to early vote this weekend, and to vote on Tuesday," said Lori Proctor, with Obama for Ohio.

Jon Stainbrook, Chair of the Lucas County Republicans, said polls continue to show Mitt Romney's surge with voters. Stainbrook said any boost Clinton gave the president at the DNC evaporated with the first presidential debate.

Clinton will also travel to Akron and Chillicothe later Thursday.
