Kent police search for attacker

KENT, OH (WOIO) -

Kent police have confirmed that U.S. serviceman, William Bebb was assaulted on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 12:30 a.m. during Kent State University's annual Halloween Celebration.

The victim was hit from behind in his jaw, resulting in a shattered jawbone and broken teeth.  Bebb underwent surgery Monday and was released Tuesday. 

Kent police have uploaded  a cell phone picture of the attacker on their Facebook page in an attempt to obtain his identity. 

Detective Dijerome is working this case and officials are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
