The
Cleveland Division of Police regretfully informed the public on their Facebook page that on Sunday, November 4, they lost one of their officers.
On Saturday, November 3, while on duty at
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, the 14-year veteran of the Division, identified as Marcia Figueroa, suffered a sudden illness.
Figueroa was life-flighted to University Hospitals, where she succumbed to that illness.
19 Action News has learned Figueroa was working to protect Air Force One and the President when she fell ill.
All district flags will be flown at half-mast Monday in honor of her on-duty death.
