Lawyers ready for election challenges

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

With Ohio expected to be a tight race, teams of lawyers are standing by in case of election day legal challenges.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutors have lawyers ready to handle complaints.

We've also learned the Obama and Romney campaigns have lawyers in town as well.  Even the Feds have people prepared to handle legal issues related to voting.

David Lambert, Chief of the Civil Division for Cuyahoga County Prosecutors tells us complaints in the past have centered on long lines and not enough ballots.  So, should the polls be held open late?

Often, lawyers go straight to federal court with their election day complaints.

Federal Courts in Columbus already have legal matters pending related to voting machines.
