MILLERSBURG, OH (WOIO) -

Officials from the Holmes County Dog Warden's Department say their adoption center kennels are completely full.

Many of the dogs in need of homes are marked "urgent", meaning they have been at the kennel for a long time or may be in need of some extra socialization.

According to their website, the Holmes County Adoption Center is an extremely small facility, with just 14 kennels and 6 puppy cages. They are a low kill shelter, and are sometimes forced to euthanize animals due to a lack of space.

"Any adoption will help save the life of that dog, as well as open up a spot for another dog that is in need," the Holmes County Dog Warden's Department posted on their Facebook page.

You can see photos and read more information about the dogs available for adoption HERE.

The Holmes County Dog Adoption Center is located at 5387 CR 349 in Millersburg. If you are interested in adopting one of their dogs, you can contact the Dog Warden's Department at (330) 674-6301. They are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm, and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am - 6:00pm.
