20-year-old woman killed in Northside

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred in the area of 4300 Beech Hill Avenue early Sunday.

Police were called to the scene at 3:48 a.m. for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found 20-year-old Candace DeMoss dead at the scene. 

"To be murdered like this and dead and left in the street, its just unbelievable to me," said DeMoss's mother, Coleen Mayne. "There had to be an eyewitness to the shooting. Please, please come out and tell. Please, we need ya'll. So please, call CrimeStoppers. Call someone. Call anybody. Let someone know. This ain't right. She was 20 years old."

Police are still investigating the murder, anyone with any information should call CrimeStoppers at 513-352-3040.
