CLEVELAND, OH -

The Cleveland Indians came together to help several families in need during their Day of Giving event.

Several supporters partnered with the team including Delaware North Companies and four area non-profit service organizations to make the event possible.

The mission of the day was to prepare and serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to around 300 Cleveland families.

In addition to receiving a meal and participating in arts and crafts, the attendees were entertained by area bands provided by Vyne Entertainment with appearances by Slider and the Hot Dog Mascots.

The event took place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in The Terrace Club at Progressive Field on Sunday, November 18th

The Thanksgiving dinner was served by Indians President Mark Shapiro, Indians General Manager Chris Antonetti and additional Cleveland Indians Executive Front Office staff members.

Local non-profit organizations Guidestone, Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland, Our Lady of the Wayside, and Shoes and Clothes for Kids were responsible for selecting and hosting attendees at the event.
