ALLIANCE, OH (WOIO) -
One person was killed in an early morning house fire in Alliance.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday at 736 Wade Avenue.
A man and woman were inside the home at the time of the fire. The man was killed, but the woman managed to escape by jumping out a window.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, the woman was lying in the street. She is now being treated at Akron Children's Hospital.
One firefighter was treated and released from a local hospital after he was injured falling off a burning staircase.
The cause remains under investigation.
